I am currently a first year PhD student at the Institute for Social Science Research and the School of Political Science and International Studies at the University of Queensland under the UQ Scholarship Program. While taking my PhD, I am also tutoring for Principles of Research in the same school and is currently the student representative of the UQ Behavioural and Social Science Ethical Review Committee. As part of my key affiliations, I am also the 2014 postgraduate representative for the Australian Political Studies Association and a member of the International Sociological Association (ISA), the Australasian Epidemiological Association (AEA), the International Health Economics Association (IHEA), and the UQ Toastmasters Club. My research interest is primarily on human health and international health. Prior to coming to Australia, I was working with the Office of the President of the Philippines as a presidential staff officer and worked as well as a research assistant at the Social Development Research Center of the De La Salle University and the Center for Environmental Social Applied Research Anthropological Research Consultancy of the University of the Philippines.
