Senior Finance and Human Resources Officer
Sam Richards is responsible for providing advice and support to Institute staff in the areas of Finance and Human Resources. She provides staff with information and guidelines on The University of Queensland (UQ) policies and procedures as well as ensuring the Institute continues to meet legislative requirements.
Sam is also the Workplace Health and Safety Coordinator for GCI.
Sam has worked within UQ for five years, primarily in Finance and Human Resources roles. Prior to Sam's appointment with GCI, she worked as a start-up Administrator for UQ's Queensland Alliance for Agriculture and Food Innovation (QAAFI).
Sam has over 10 years’ administrative experience in Finance and HR within both private and public sectors.
Sam is a UQ Green Officer and is committed to developing administrative systems for GCI with a focus on sustainability and improved functionality for end users.
Bachelor of Business (Management) – Swinburne University of Technology (currently studying)
